Common sense prevails above all else. The rugged topography and extreme fragmentation of the vineyard, particularly in the commune of Fully, do not allow for heavy mechanisation. As a result, the work is mainly done by hand, from pruning to harvesting.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

We take care of our vines without using herbicides, to allow for greater floral biodiversity, despite the competition for water and nutrients that this entails for the vines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We only irrigate when necessary, to prevent stunted growth and a halt in photosynthesis, which would cause bitterness in the wine. Similarly, we adapt the harvest load according to the maturity (sun-ripened or cool) offered by the vintage. Finally, we try to preserve acidity with appropriate leaf removal and topping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pesticide treatments are carried out in line with organic farming practices, but it is true that depending on the pressure exerted by cryptogamic diseases (mildew and powdery mildew), we cannot always do without synthetic products. For greater manoeuvrability, safety and flexibility, we have also been treating our vines with our own drone since 2024. As a corollary, this way of working protects the soil by reducing the number of passes and the risk of compaction and erosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
